They were diagnosed with early onset of Parkinson’s but are now playing international football!

The inspirational story of a group of remarkable guys who were united by their love of football and their desire to combat Parkinson's disease.

The UKYOPD team are footballers who are challenged by Parkinson’s Disease, mostly Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease (YOPD), who represented the UK at The Ray Kennedy Cup in Copenhagen, Denmark on 31st August 2019, a 7 a side football tournament equivalent to the European Football Championships for people with Parkinson’s.

The UKYOPD team continue to raise awareness and funds for the Cure Parkinson's Trust who fund research to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson's.
