"Football, eh? It’s just a game, where a bunch of people chase a ball around for 90 minutes, isn’t it..?"
Try telling that to our players because for them it’s deeply personal...
On the 19th of April 2020 the Fighting Fit Football team of Parkinson’s battlers will take part in the Cure Parkinson’s Cup at the 12,000 capacity Sixways Stadium in Worcester. This fully inclusive football tournament is thought to be the largest of its kind ever held: the “World Cup“ of Parkinson’s football where 20 teams from around the UK, Europe and North America, will compete for the trophy.
But more importantly we will raising funds to help find a much needed cure for this degenerative disease. Each team is tasked with raising a minimum of £1,000 which will go towards helping the Cure Parkinson’s Trust mission to fund research that has the potential to stop, slow down and reverse the disease.
But we can’t do it alone. Exercise is a great way to help our symptoms but until a cure comes along we can only live in hope. With your help and generosity we might actually achieve this goal.
Each and every donation through could make a positive difference to the lives of our players and the millions affected by the disease globally.
Together we can give Parkinson’s the boot!
