FFFC Parkinson's Walking Football

 These are our new daytime sessions held on the new 3G (astroturf) football pitch at Everyone Active's Woodside Leisure Centre in Gaston, Watford.Walking football is perfect for people with Parkinson’s as it is low contact, with no running but plenty of movement and cardio exercise.

All our football events are designed to be fun and supportive.  They typically comprise a short warm up and stretching exercises & small group matches, all at your own pace. Suitable for any ages or abilities, regardless of previous experience, for both men & women.

before they can play, please ensure you click the register button and submit the online registration form prior to attending.For safeguarding reasons, new players must pre-register for their first event

Registration is subject to your agreement of our Member's Code of Conduct  which must be read and followed by all participants during our events. You can access this .here

if you, or someone you live with, has tested positive for COVID in the last 10 days, or are awaiting test results, or has / had any of the following in last 10 days:We request that you do not participate in an event

1. A high temperature (above 37.8°C);

2. A new, continuous cough

3. A loss of, or change to, their sense of smell or taste.

On the day:

1.  Bring your own easily identifable .What to bring: refreshments

2. wearor(no metal or screw-in studs please) and .  Don't forget and . Shin pads are optional.What to wear: trainers / astro boots boots with moulded studs clothing appropriate for exerciselayers for the colder dayswaterproof top  on wetter days

3. The 3G pitch is at the rear of Woodside Leisure Centre, please drive into the main entrance & follow the road round to the rear of the building to the Upper Car Park with the pitches on the left. Where to go:

4. There is plenty of free parking at the leisure centre. and to avoid a parking ticket.Where to park: Remember to add your car reg number into the ticket machine to get free parking,

5. : You will find us on Pitch 4 (furthest from the astro pitch entrance), which is hired for 1 hour.Where to find us

6. We will run in all weathers except in extreme wet, wind, cold or heat or thunder storms means it would be unadvisable to play. If we have to cancel due to poor weather we will give you as much advance notice as possible.
