About the Event

Walking football is perfect for people with Parkinson’s as it is low contact, with no running but plenty of movement and cardio exercise.  Our walking football events are currently held on the first Monday of the month, but as interest grows we hope to increase the number of sessions.

All our football events are designed to be fun and supportive and are 1.5 hours long.  They typically comprise a short warm up and stretching exercises, group training and drills and small group matches, all at your own pace.

IMPORTANT: Although since 19th July 2021 it is no longer a legal requirement to fulfil Covid obligations,  we shall continue to follow Covid guidelines such as social distancing to try to keep everyone safe.

Registration is subject to your agreement of our COVID-19 policies which must be read and followed by all participants during our events. You can access them here. This means there are a few things you need to be aware of and comply with to attend our events:

  • All new players must pre-register for their first event before they can play, please click the register button and submit the online registration form and provide your consent to attend.
  • On the day of the event you must complete a self-assessment for any Covid-19- symptoms before each and every training session using your mobile phone. If you satisty all the crieria in the form you will receive a green "cleared" pass-card to allow access to the training ground on that day.
